Daytime paving work planned May 19-21 on U-193

Work continues on a project to resurface SR-193, the Bernard Fisher Highway, from Hill Field Road (SR-232) to US-89. Paving operations will continue Friday, May 19, with work taking place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. through Sunday, May 21 to avoid cold temperatures overnight.
On Monday, May 22, crews will shift back to their regular nighttime schedule of 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. until Thursday, May 25.
No work will be conducted over Memorial Day weekend. Residents should expect increased noise and vibration during work hours, construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway, temporary lane shifts and lane and shoulder restrictions.

-On the Hill Field Road (SR-232) project, crews are completing final work on SR-232 (Hill Field Road) from SR-193 to approximately 1225 North. To complete this work there will be intermittent lane and shoulder closures through May 25. Residents with specific issues can call the project hotline at 801-859-3770 for assistance. -Crews are installing signal upgrades to the traffic signal on SR-109 at Gentile Street and Fairfield Rd, Layton. Crews have finished all of the underground work and are now working on power connections. Lanes may be closed or restricted in the immediate area of work through May 25.  Slow down and be prepared to stop at any time.
