Risk Management

The Risk Management Division takes a proactive and preventative approach to the innumerable risks inherent in providing public services. It does this through evaluating practices and policies, training, education, and programs proven to reduce risk. This Division is responsible for the acquisition of liability and property insurance coverage for the City, which involves working with commercial insurance carriers and the Utah Risk Management Agency (URMA). This Division coordinates several safety inspections throughout the workplace, ensuring a safe environment. The Division handles and coordinates the claims against the City, including investigating incidents and corresponding with claimants. The Division oversees the City's Claims Committee and Accident Review Board.
