Timeline
- January 2015: Dennis Howland, President of Northern Utah Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter presented the idea of a Replica Wall to Layton City Mayor Bob Stevenson
- February 24, 2015: VVA members and Layton City officials selected Layton Commons Park as the Wall site
- March 30, 2015: Press release announcing the Vietnam Memorial Wall Replica will be built in Layton Commons Park
- 2015 – 2017: Fundraising
- November 11, 2017: Layton City and the VVA host the Veterans Day Commemoration and Groundbreaking Ceremony in Layton Commons Park
- February 2018: Site excavation and pre-construction preparations begin
- March 2018: Construction begins
- July 14, 2018: Layton City and the VVA host the Layton City Vietnam Memorial Wall Replica Dedication Ceremony
